Providing education for 150 children in Armenia

Summary

This program provides 150 working children with basic education by including them with special trainings throughout the 10 regions of Armenia.

Challenge

Residents in remote communities of Armenia live in extreme poverty. Children from poverty stricken families often are unable to complete their basic education and must help their parents earn their living. Some of them also perform tasks requiring multitype physical strength. As a result, the normal rhythm of the beneficiaries’ lives is disrupted, causing them to become illiterate, isolated from society, and prone to developing various psychological problems.

Solution

We will organize training-courses in remote communities of Armenia to help school-aged children fulfill any gaps in their basic education. In order to prevent them from being exploited as a vulnerable group, we will provide psychological and social support to these children. Beneficiaries will also receive the necessary items and stationery supplies to will allow them to attend school.

Long-Term Impact

The project will educate 150 children, allowing them to contribute to society, protect their human rights, and create a better life for themselves and their families. By having these benefits, they will be less inclined to leave their villages and will seek jobs within their communities. The project will promote the harmonious development of these rural communities.
